Legend has it that Hayagriva is one of the forms of Guanyin, with a horse’s head on his crown and a fierce appearance, able to overcome every obstacle.
In Japan, Hayagriva is known as Bato Kannon and has long been revered as a protector of horses and all kinds of animals; quite a few pet cemeteries there have a statue of him.
Hayagriva is also enshrined on the third floor of Cho Yuu Temple. When you come up, greet him too and ask him to watch over your pet.
Whatever your pet is going through, there is a deity to talk to.
